One element will be to build on what has worked for CAMPING IN British Columbia. And that is the availability of fairly instant results to information sought, and the feeling of being a part of a community that shares a common passion and lifestyle. To that end, there will be a live discussion thread, like our group, and we’re working on piping the thread from the group to the website.

The Big Picture:

Future plans for www.campingin.ca will be to make available all provinces, and then other countries, and their regions. When you land on the page you will be given the ability to choose your province, then your region/regions of choice. The main discussion thread will be there but filtered to only show relevant information to that region. Our directory will be interactive and filled with valuable information with the focus, in our first year, being all our amazing private campgrounds around the province. I will be traveling the province, to visit as many as I can this season, to catalogue each one. This will include a high quality professional video walk through. Drone footage of the surrounding area where allowed. And professional photography of each lot.

One of the most common questions in the group has been asking if anyone has pictures of particular lots so they can pre-imagine their setup and where their tents or RV may go. I will also do interviews with the owners/ managers, when willing, and some of the current campers to get their feedback on their experience. All with the click of a link. Once I have the format established I will be hiring photographers and videographers to help build the directory.

This project is a huge undertaking and is an ongoing work in progress. This current page is a temporary one with minimal features while we work hard to manifest our goals to bring you everything you need to know and all the tools you require to add efficiency, economy and joy to your camping experience.
